Katrina Newby, Owner
Meet Coach Katrina! Also known to your kiddos as "Coach K": Coach Katrina is the proud owner of Small Wonders Gymnastics. I have two sons, Jonathan and Michael. Jon is a coach at the gym, and has blessed me with a beautiful granddaughter. Michael is a Lieutenant in the US Navy stationed at Oceana in Virginia, and is a Naval Flight Officer. I tell everyone about the extraordinary gift of this gym and my kids. I know the importance of choosing people you can trust your children with, and I'm honored that you place that trust in myself and my staff. God has blessed me with more than I deserve! I love the gift of children, and I feel overwhelmed by the opportunity to work with them. Thanks to my Staff, Small Wonders is growing in ways I could never have imagined!
I began coaching as a teenager at the local YMCA; however, my professional gymnastics coaching experience began in Daytona Beach, FL in 1993. I have been a professional member of USA Gymnastics since 1993 and I opened Small Wonders in April of 1997! I have been Safety Certified since the 1st year it was offered in 2000. I'm a professional member of USAG and NGA, as well as a Meet Director. My certifications include SafeSport, Abuse Prevention, Concussion protocol training, USA Gymnastics Instructor, and the Fundamentals of Gymnastics, School of Competitive Gymnastics: Women's Gymnastics Junior Olympic Team Coach. I graduated with a Certification in Early Childhood Education and completed my education with a certificate in the School of Business. To sum it up: I LOVE my Job!

Coach Deb
My name is Deborah Holliman. I am married with 5 children. I also have 16 grandchildren, with many of them holding State and National titles in power tumbling and trampoline, under my coaching. With almost 40 years of experience in the sport of gymnastics, power tumbling, trampoline, and double-mini, I set high standards for myself in my coaching. I have a very strong passion for the sport. I have always strived to learn as much as I can, and to keep updated on training and certifications.
Over the years, I have been safety certified through USTA (United States Tumbling Association). I also hold my Gold, Silver, and Bronze certifications for coaching low to Eliete levels of power tumbling. I have attended many years of National Congress for continuing gymnastics education. I owned my own gym for many years, but I found I like coaching the best; Working with the gymnasts and helping them be the best they can be. I have coached gymnasts at 4 different Jr. Olympics in Des Moines Iowa. I have also taken gymnasts to National Championships in Virginia, Texas, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Wisconsin, and Indiana.
I have been at Small Wonders Gymnastics since 2016. During that time, I have successfully completed my Abuse Prevention Safety Training Course and been background screened by NCSI. I am currently a member of the National Gymnastics Association, and have taken my concussion testing to be certified as a Coach. I coach Recreational ages 18 months to Intermediate levels, Hot Shots age 4-7, Pre-team, and I am the Head Coach for the Bronze competition Team.
Coach Jennah
Hi, I’m Coach Jennah, and I have been coaching at Small Wonders Gymnastics since 2020! Before my coaching career, I was a gymnast here for few years as well. I have coached toddlers through level 3, and I am currently one of the level 3 coaches. Something that I love about coaching are the connections you make with the gymnasts and the other coaches. I love coaching and helping the gymnasts understand the physical and mental aspects of this sport!
I am a junior at Wapahani, and, when I’m not in the gym, I enjoy cheering and drag racing. In March of 2024, I cheered at the basketball 2a state game, which was the first time in history we have ever been to state.
I love working in an uplifting environment, and I am excited to see what the future holds for me here at Small Wonders!!

I am also a mom of 4, and love that I get to coach both sports with my daughter, Abriel!

Hello I'm Coach Issy! I go to New Castle High School. I did gymnastics on the recreational side. I have two brothers and three sisters, all who have coached at Small Wonders as well! During my time at Small Wonders, I have coached Parent/Toddler, Advanced Toddlers, Pre-Team, and Bronze.
A few of my hobbies outside of gym include playing with my dog, hanging out with my friends, marching band, and reading! I play flute for the High School band. Something personal about me is that I am a Type 1 Diabetic. I would like to be a Veterinarian or a Nurse when I graduate.
Coach Bri
Hello, I'm Bri York! I'm an athlete and gymnast at Small Wonders Gymnastics. I've been doing gymnastics with this gym since 2016, and I've been coaching since 2022. Outside of the gym, I am a highschool Senior and an active member of National Honors Society. NHS is the Nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding highschool students. NHS serves to honor students that have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. I try to honor these values in my daily life. This includes my time at the gym.
If you have previous experience with the gym, you might already know me. As one of the older gymnasts in the gym, I believe in being a positive role model and a respectful representation of Small Wonders. I'm positive the other coaches would agree that we aren't perfect, but we strive to create an educational, caring, and safe environment for young athletes. I absolutely love this job, and look forward to creating more memories at the gym!
Coach Jordanne
Hi, I'm Jordanne! I began coaching recreational gymnastics in 2022, and I recently started coaching toddlers through PreTeam. I was a gymnast at Small Wonders for 7 years, competing from Xcel Bronze through Level 6. I'm currently a Junior in highschool, and have been homeschooled since 5th grade.
I will be graduating a year early, and plan to attend Ball State next year to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. I love working with children, so my dream is to become a Pediatric Nurse. That is also one of the main reasons I enjoy coaching. I love being around kids, making them smile, and helping them gain confidence in gymnastics and in themselves!
